Nanotechnology meets neuroscience: nanomaterials to control neuronal activity

Innovative nanomaterials open up new possibilities for research into perception and the targeted influencing of neuronal activity. The lecture presents the nanomaterials developed at FAU for this purpose, which are used in neuromodulation research. It will explain how these materials can be used for minimally invasive stimulation of nerve cells and what insights they provide into signal processing in the brain. (in engl.)
