Exploring How Self-Driving Cars See the World

The Institute of Microwaves and Photonics (LHFT) offers exciting live demonstrations showcasing the radar, lidar, and camera technologies used by robotic cars and other autonomous vehicles of the future.

Visitors can take a ride in the partially autonomous test vehicle "MARK I", which has been constructed at LHFT.

In the process, they will gain a vivid understanding of how cars use their sensors and artificial intelligence for autonomous navigation, by recognizing pedestrians, obstacles, and other vehicles.
