When we perceive the world around us, the impressions of our senses combine to form a multisensory perception, for example when we understand the utterances of a conversation partner by hearing her speech and also seeing her lip movements. You can try out how seeing, hearing, touching and smelling are combined in small, hands-on multisensory perception experiments.
